Keenjhar Lake is also called Kalri Lake. It is 2nd largest fresh water lake of Pakistan located in district Thatta, Sindh. It is approximately 124 km away from Karachi which is the port city of Pakistan
Keenjhar Lake plays an important role in providing fresh drinking water to Karachi. Most of the migratory birds fly to Keenjhar in winter because of favorable environment.
Keenjhar Lake is best place for tourist to enjoy. People from different cities visit Keenjhar for picnic, swimming, fishing and boating. Its beautiful look attracts people so much that they try to visit it again and again.
Keenjhar Lake is also famous for Grave of Noori Jam Tamachi. Noori was charming fisher-women and Jam Tamachi was prince who falls in love with Noori. Noori makes Jam happy with her surrender and obedience. Her obedience has enabled JamTamachi to make her lady above all ladies. Her last resting place is in the middle of Keenjhar Lake. Everyday hundreds of devotees visit the shrine.
